Cooling, heating, and air conditioning systems Cooling, heating, and air conditioning systems
All vehicles covered by this manual employ a pressurised engine cooling system with thermostatically-controlled coolant circulation.
A water pump mounted on the drivebelt end of the cylinder block/crankcase pumps coolant through the engine. The coolant flows around each cylinder and toward the transmission end of the engine. Cast-in coolant passages direct coolant around the inlet and exhaust ports, near the spark plug areas and close to the exhaust valve guides.
